I am a dedicated and enthusiastic online English and Creative Writing tutor and committed to helping every student reach their full potential. I have a BA and MA in Literature from the Open University and PhD in Literature from Nottingham Trent University. I am also an examiner of GCSE/ IGCSE and A Level Language and Literature and home educated my son from the age of 4-16. My lessons are informal, stimulating and creative and draw on the strengths of each student. I am a good listener and accept a wide range of students including SEN. I am able to teach all levels from KS1 to University.

Experience: Hello, I am a tutor, examiner and writer and have been tutoring Creative Writing, English Language and Literature since 2015. I have a PhD in Literature. I am experienced in tutoring mainstream school, college and home educated students at all key stages. I home educated my son from the age of 4-16. I also have experience with SEN students. I am an examiner of A Level and GCSE/ IGCSE Language and Literature and teach all of the main exam board syllabi.

I take a friendly, creative and enthusiastic approach to tutoring. I provide individually planned lessons for each student and draw on every student`s strengths to enable them to tackle areas of study they find challenging with confidence.

My fee is £32.00 per hour`s tuition online, which includes all tutorial preparation time and the marking of any work arising from the tutorial. I have an Enhanced DBS and subscribe to the DBS Update service.

I offer online tutorials using Zoom, Skype or other platforms of your choice.

I am the author of GCSE study guides and course materials and write poetry in my free time.

I enjoy tutoring immensely and find it very rewarding to enable students to reach their full potential and progress with their studies and longer term ambitions.
