I am a full time Primary School Teacher in Wantage, but currently live in Reading. In September 2023, I will be teaching in a primary school full time local to Wokingham County Council.

I qualified as a teacher (PGCE ages 5-11) in 2012 from Oxford Brookes University where I started teaching for years 3 and 4 (ages 7 - 9) for 3 years in Bicester. I had various subject leaderships including Music, Art and English.

In September 2016, I started a new job in Wantage teaching year 2 (ages 6-7) where I have now taken on the leadership role of Mathematics, with particular focus on mastery in the new primary curriculum and alongside this, I am the lower school lead for children aged 5-8.

I have had other experiences during voluntary work and placements of the whole primary age range.

Availability: I am available Monday - Friday evenings and Saturday mornings online.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I have tutored many children in and around Reading privately, predominately for the 11+, Grammar School entrance exams and Year 2 and 6 SATs.

My approach is very much hands on, making learning engaging and fun. I am a firm believer in the `can do` attitude, using growth mindset approaches to enable children to believe in their own abilities. I adapt all my sessions to meet the needs of each child and their interests.
