Information about Shahram

I have BSc and MSc degree in Chemical Engineering and am a Science qualified teacher (PGCE University of Southampton) having more than 15 years of experience in teaching and tutoring Maths and Science (Including Chemistry, Physics and Biology).

At the moment I am science teacher at the Vyne school in Basingstoke who have taught Maths and Science in many other local schools in Basingstoke, Andover and Reading such as Perins, Wellington Academy, Everest, John Hanson and Shiplake College.

I am familiar with the new curriculum requirements of the common exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas) and have high access to the teaching materials, past papers, related worksheets and workbooks. I identify the areas of improvement for each student and with a step by step strategy I change it to their area of strength.

My students are normally at KS3, GCSE or A-Level who want to achieve specific target or better grades which we have always successfully achieved with appropriate planning, building motivation and effective lessons. Since my method is exam-focused we also spend time on exam techniques.

I tailor my lessons based on students` different personality, ability, skills and needs . I am also trained and experienced in working with SEN students including Dyslexic, Asperger, Autism or ADHD and have tutored home schooled and international students who need IGCSE. I am proud of making progress/success for students and happiness/satisfaction for parents.

Mr Shahram has been teaching our son Maths and Science 4 times a week, for about 7 months. He is a great, hardworking tutor - calm, patient and very engaging in his approach. His passion for teaching is very evident. Our son always looks forward to his lessons - no small feat, considering that he is very selective in who he responds to. Mr Shahram epitomises how a teacher should be.

We were looking for a tutor to teach over Easter and arranged a tutorial, during which he told us he was unavailable for 2 weeks. Not very helpful on this front, so changed tutor.

Tutors Response :

Hi Lucy
Sorry for the miscommunication between us. I told all of my students that I am on holiday duting Easter for 2 weeks but still have had some lessons with some of my online students who asked for, over those 2 weeks. When I informed that I am on holiday for 2 weeks, I had not heard any feedback from you, assuming that you are also happy to have 2 sessions Easter holiday break, which apparently was not the case. Anyway, wish you and Oliver the best!
