I am currently a PhD student at Newcastle University, studying History. I studied my BA and MA at the University of Manchester.

I have over five years of experience in tutoring. I am available to tutor children 4-18, and also adults wanting to improve their English, or help with University study. I have tutored children with special educational needs in basic numeracy and literacy, preparation for SATs and 11+, KS3 and 4 English and History, as well as GCSE & A-Level tutoring in these subjects. I have also offered tutoring to adult learners in English language, and History at degree level.

I am a patient, enthusiastic, and flexible teacher, focusing upon making the lessons fun and engaging. I love learning, and hope to make my students feel the same!

In terms of my qualifications:

I have a first-class bachelors degree in History, a distinction at Masters level in Humanitarianism and Conflict Response, and I am funded for my PhD by a scholarship. I have A Levels in History, Latin and English Literature all A-A*, and A in GCSE Maths, A* in GCSE English Literature and Language, A*s in Sciences, A in Latin and A in French.

I have a full DBS check and a clean drivers license and car.

Availability: I am very flexible with times and days. I can offer online tutoring if that is more convenient for students and parents.

I have my own car, and happy to travel. Within a five mile radius is no extra cost, cost of £1 per mile for every mile over this just to cover my fuel costs.
