I am an enthusiastic, patient and motivated English tutor. Having struggled through school, I understand how difficult education can be. However, my passion for learning started as an adult when my English tutor made my GCSE texts come alive. I have 25 years experience of learning since then and nearly 60 courses completed. I have a degree in English Language and Literature, and Diplomas in Creative Writing and Novel Writing.

Availability: Monday - Friday evenings

Experience: I started tutoring in January 2011. Since then it has been my pleasure to support more than 200 students improve their confidence, develop their understanding of English and achieve higher grades than those predicted by their teachers. I worked in primary education as a teaching assistant for 10 years prior to starting my tutoring business. I supported children who experienced learning difficulties and I found that the `one way suits all` method taught in schools failed many children. This was my motivation to become a tutor. I believe that everyone has the ability to learn and succeed, therefore I tailor my lessons to the individual pupil, I aim to find the best way to encourage them so that they will hopefully like their studies and enjoy their lessons with me.
