Information about Jagruti
A friendly and enthusiastic Medicine graduate from Imperial College London who is keen to assist children in reaching their full potential and more. Learning is more than an academic process that builds foundation for a student`s future. I believe in understanding the student`s interests and incorporating them into the lessons to help them learn to create a stimulating learning environment to help the student achieve better.
Working with students of different ages and abilities, I have come to realise that all students are highly talented with the right kind of support system and learning environment, they can all achieve highly. I am greatly enthused and motivated to provide the same for my tutees.
Availability: I`m available most weekday evenings and weekends.
Willing to travel: 4 miles
Experience: I have professionally tutored for more than 4 years and have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the students flourish. I have taught students ranging from Year 5 to AS levels, which have been great experiences - especially seeing them enjoy the subjects more and this reflecting positively in both their academic performances. I believe students thrive from learning that is made relevant and applicable to day-to-day life. Learning is a holistic experience beyond the factual content which is what I aim to incorporate in my lessons.
More recently I have also been a part of holding workshops with Imperial College`s Vision scheme where I tutored fellow Year 12 students from less privileged schools in order to help bridge the gap between College and University and provide exposure to what Medicine is like. The students enjoyed these workshops and thought they were stimulating and engaging.
Studying as an undergraduate, I have also, on several occasions, held study sessions with fellow course-mates. This has been a great experience to understand that different people have different learning styles and I have learnt to adopt to these and approach these requirements accordingly.
