Information about Emma
I successfully completed a Degree in Philosophy and English, an MA in Law and barrister training before turning to teaching. I quickly realised I love helping students to reach their full potential, by providing them with one-on-one assistance, encouragement and motivation, as well as knowledge and subject expertise. I am easy-going and approachable, but I won’t take ‘No’ or ‘I can’t’ for an answer! I’d be here to help you take your learning to the highest level you can achieve. I’ll provide resources, notes, tutoring, planning, tasks and essays, samples, marking and inspiration. You just need to want to learn!

Experience: I am a specialist in Politics, Philosophy and Law at A Level, having taught those subjects at that level for several years in a private school. I also have experience of teaching Religious Studies at GCSE as well as academic and study skills at all levels. I am particularly familiar with teaching students who have English as an additional language (CELTA with A grade) and those with SEN.

Emma is a fantastic tutor. She really went above and beyond and has been instrumental in helping my son to achieve really great results in his assessments. Emma quickly adapted to the way my son had been taught GCSE RS at school, and was able to provide targeted tuition to enable him to achieve a top grade. She went out of her way to provide specifically tailored materials for revision, and provided in-depth feedback on work for the next session. Emma is really knowledgeable about the subject, and her relaxed and unfussy style is also a great asset. I can`t recommend Emma highly enough.

Emma is a great tutor. She responded really quickly and was able to start the tuition straight away. She came to the sessions well prepared and has lent my daughter lots of relevant texts. She is very knowledgeable on the subjects and what is required from the exam boards at this level. Highly recommend
