I am a qualified secondary Science teacher with over 10 years of classroom experience teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics across Key Stage 3 and GCSE. As a current classroom teacher, I have an up-to-date understanding of the curriculum, exam requirements and the common misconceptions that prevent students from reaching their target grades.

Every lesson is carefully planned, engaging and tailored to your child’s individual needs, helping them develop confidence, independence and the skills needed to succeed in science.

Experience: I am a qualified Secondary Science Teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching students aged 11–16 across a wide range of abilities and backgrounds. I gained my Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the UCL Institute of Education (IOE), one of the UK’s leading teacher training institutions, and have extensive experience delivering the AQA, OCR and Edexcel Science specifications.

As a current classroom teacher, I understand the demands of today’s Science curriculum and the challenges many students face. I know where misconceptions commonly arise, what examiners are looking for and how to break complex scientific concepts into manageable steps that students can understand with confidence.

Throughout my career, I have planned and delivered carefully sequenced lessons and developed schemes of learning that support long-term progress rather than short-term memorisation. This experience allows me to tailor every tuition session to the individual needs of each student, ensuring lessons are purposeful, engaging and focused on measurable progress.

Unlike generic tutoring sessions that simply work through questions, every lesson I deliver is supported by carefully designed resources, targeted practice and regular opportunities for students to apply their learning. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to develop confident, independent learners who understand the science behind the answers and feel prepared to tackle unfamiliar exam questions with resilience.
