Jigar

Hi, I`m Jigar. I work as an Economist in the civil service for over 1 and a half years. This has enabled me to apply economic theory to real-world problems.

For my academic background, I have a Masters`s in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelors`s in Economics from the University of Surrey with First Class Honors.

In terms of experience, I have been tutoring in both Economics and Maths for 3 years.

While teaching Economics, I focus on the theory side of the subject and link it to the real world to help students gain a profound understanding of the topics and then work through exam questions to test their understanding and fill in any gaps in their knowledge.

For Math topics, I tend to focus on working through example problems with the student and then adjust the difficulty according to the student`s current skill level. I have found going through questions and marking them together with students helps them learn from their mistakes and improve their grades faster.

Availability: Available after 6 pm on weekdays and all day during weekends.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I have been tutoring for 3 years of tutoring. During this time, I have taught Economics to students studying for their GCSEs, A-levels and their undergrad. While I specialise in Economics, I have also taught GCSE Maths when students have requested for help.
