Experience: With extensive experience in both teaching and tutoring, I have developed a strong passion for helping students achieve their academic goals. I am currently a full-time Maths Lecturer at South Gloucestershire & Stroud College, where I plan and deliver engaging lessons at various levels, assess student progress, and provide feedback. My role also includes developing curriculum materials and supporting students` academic and pastoral needs.
In addition to my lecturing role, I have a proven track record in tutoring. As a part-time tutor with the Adonis Musati Project, I co-designed and implemented a project funded by the UNHCR to provide academic support to high school learners during the COVID-19 pandemic. I organized and led tutoring sessions, offering personalized guidance and developing resources tailored to different learning needs.
I also worked as a part-time Mathematics and Statistics tutor at the University of the Western Cape, where I conducted face-to-face lessons for first-year students, assessed their work, and provided feedback on assignments involving software like SAS and R. In this role, I also ensured active participation and addressed students` questions and concerns.
My tutoring experience spans a range of student levels, from high school learners to university undergraduates, where I consistently foster a positive and engaging learning environment to promote student success.
