I read English literature and Drama (joint honours BA) at the University of Birmingham. I then went on to study the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) followed by a masters in International Commercial Law both at the University of Sussex. I am currently an in-house lawyer working at a telecoms company and I am based in London.

I have a passion for teaching. However, as well as helping my students achieve great things academically I want to help my students build their confidence. I want my students to believe that they have the skills they need to achieve great things. I have suffered at the hands of bad teachers but I have also reaped the huge benefits of having passionate teachers. I use my own experiences to help my students blossom both academically and personally.

I primarily teach English, History, Drama and Law, I have tutored students from primary school up to A level. I specialise in techniques to help students with dyslexia.

I teach the following:
- all key stage 1 and 2 subjects (inc. phonics, reading, writing and comprehension skills);
- 11+ exams;
- GCSE English, History, Drama and Law;
- A level English Literature, English Language, History, Drama and Law;
- University level English and Law;
- General exam and essay writing techniques.

Experience: I have tutored students from primary school to A level. I have tutored in all key stage 1 and 2 subjects including, phonics, more advanced reading, writing and comprehension skills. I have tutored children for 11+ exams for some of the most prestigious schools in the North West, including Manchester Grammar School, Manchester High School For Girls and Withington Girls’ School. I have also tutored GCSE and A level students in English Literature, English Language, History and Drama. I have also helped students with general exam preperation and essay writing techniques as well as UCAS applications.

I have worked with children with various learning difficulties. I have an acute understanding of the complex challenges that are faced by a student with learning difficulties and I have various strategies and techniques to help students overcome these. I am well versed in communicating with schools and exam boards to make sure that students with learning difficulties have the allowances and learning resources they need.
