I am an experienced biology tutor with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Genetics, a degree in Applied Biology and A Level in Biology. I also have over 3 years working in the scientific industry as a researcher practicing what I preach!

After taking a career break to raise my young children, I am excited to return to tutoring and share my passion for biology.

I understand that doing well in a subject that just doesn’t “click” can feel really challenging. I provide friendly lessons backed by methods to help you get your head around the subject and improve your exam technique. My goal is to help you build confidence, grasp difficult concepts, and reach your full potential.

Availability: I am available for lessons on:

Wednesdays: 1:30pm – 2:30pm
Thursdays: 9:15am – 2:30pm
Fridays: 9:15am – 2:30pm

At present, due to my restricted time availability, I am focusing primarily on exam preparation for A Level Biology students following the AQA syllabus. Students studying with other exam boards are very welcome and I can support with understanding biology concepts. However, I will not be able to offer the same depth of exam-specific preparation outside of AQA.

Willing to travel: 3 miles

Experience: I have experience teaching Biology at both GCSE and A Level, with a particular focus on exam technique for the AQA A Level Biology syllabus. My tutoring experience includes working with students who face a range of behavioral and educational difficulties, such as dyslexia and dyscalculia. In addition, I have worked as a freelance writer for DigiSchool, creating revision guides for Maths and Biology across both AQA and Edexcel exam boards.
