Emily

My name is Emily and I am an experienced English Teacher with a PGCE in Secondary English. I aim to quickly identify and address students` misconceptions whilst improving exam technique. I have experience teaching a wide range of ages including KS3, KS4 and KS5.
I am an enthusiastic teacher who believes any child can grow and learn from individual tutoring that is engaging, relatable, exciting and personal to them. This is why I ensure that my sessions are catered to each child’s needs, interests and abilities so that they make great progress, increase their confidence and enjoy learning.
I am based in both Eastbourne and Brighton and I am happy to tutor around either of those areas.

Availability: I am available during the week in the afternoon/evening and at the weekend.

Willing to travel: 20 miles

Experience: I have experience teaching English Language and Literature over the past four years and have been Assistant Head of Department for the past year. I have taught both the AQA and iGCSE syllabus and also have experience in teaching A level and IB.
