I am currently a tutor with the field studies council, providing biology and geography lessons in an outdoor environment. As an individual I am always keen to engage people with the natural environment as it has been a passion of mine since a young age, and I derive a lot of enjoyment from sharing my knowledge with others.

Availability: Currently available 7 days a week!

Experience: I have 3 years of experience teaching students of all levels, from KS2 & 3, up to A-level and undergraduates. Along with my broad knowledge of biosciences and a good understanding of the various exam specifications I feel confident that I will be able to ensure students of all ages reach their full potential. Due to COVID-19 students have had to dramatically shift their methods of study, learning in a very different environment to the ones they are used to and I have experience teaching using a wide variety of methods and in a broad range of environments.
With the field studies council I teach both background theory, as well as the more practical elements of biology and geography. Biology courses often involve rock-pooling, pond or stream-dipping, and identification of plants, insects, and birds in both a grassland and moorland environment, therefore my knowledge of natural history is excellent, particularly in regards to the ecology of the South of England where I am currently based. Our geography courses tend to focus on either coastal processes and management or human geography, and I have often assisted students who are carrying out their A-level coursework so have a good knowledge of several key case studies and locations.
In addition to all of this I also have access to a wide range of resources, both online resources like ArcGIS and offline resources such as worksheets and examples from the field studies council. As well as experience in planning and delivering courses tailored to cover whatever the student requires.
