I am a graduate of the top-ranking University of St Andrews, with First Class Honours in English Language and Literature. I have worked as a University Professor in English and have published books and articles on English. I have also served as an Examiner and as a University Admissions Tutor. Recently, I have proof-read MA, MSc and PhD dissertation from students studying at various universities: London, Birmingham, Warwick, and many more. I am familiar with the set texts and requirement for various English Language and English Literature exam boards: AQA, WJECS, EDUQAS, EDEXCEL, and OCR.

My teaching is always responsive to YOUR specific requirements this process is informed by critical and creative strategies that have a proven track record. Every student is unique!

I work in partnership with potential students in order to identify YOUR most urgent needs and and the goals to be achieved. Together we address issues of motivation and the acquisition of key subject study skills. This process builds on creative strategies for self-improvement which leads to enhanced enjoyment and success.

Beyond the education field, I have also worked in the business sector as a Media/Communications Consultant and as the Director of an International Film Production Company.

Experience: As a private tutor I have recently worked with a variety of students from primary school age (8+), through to GCSE and A-level. I am familiar with the set texts and requirement for various English Language and English Literature exam boards: AQA, WJECS, EDEXCEL, and OCR.

Also, I often work at a senior professional level (medical/psychology/business/science)and with international students working towards an M.A. M.Sc. or a PhD. I have recently worked with students from India, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Jordan, and Iran.

I have 25 years` experience of teaching and lecturing (School/University). I am actively working as an academic researcher.
