Previously described as a friendly and approachable tutor, I am a research scientist in biotechnology with a background in physics, and an MPhys in theoretical physics.
My approach to tutoring involves study of the overall curriculum, focusing on a student`s weaknesses and emphasising revision methods prior to upcoming exams. I like to use an interactive approach when tutoring, such as using whiteboards and quick fire questions. I believe it is important to cater to a students own learning preferences as well as ensuring a recap of each previous session each week.
Availability: Weekday evenings from 6pm.
Weekends 10am - 6pm
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: I have been tutoring for 4 years since I left university. In this time I have developed methods of catering to a students ability, and have always achieved an increase in the student`s predicted grade.

Candace helped my son achieve his Physics GCSE making the lessons fun and interesting. She always turned up on time, explained everything well and showed a natural enthusiasm for teaching.
Candace has been really helpful for my son who is doing Physics for GCSE`s. She is vey organised and always arrives on time. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs a Physics tutor.
Candace not only explains concepts well but she also explains the application of these concepts in a clear manner. Candace is also very good at giving the right amount of exam practice. She also likes to tailor each session according to the needs of my daughter. She is friendly and approachable and is very knowledgeable. We will not hesitate to recommend Candace.
