Information about Kelly
I have been teaching Key Stage 2 for 5 years. I received an Outstanding grade for my practice in my first year, due to my creative and innovative teaching methods. In addition, I am an experienced maths and English tutor. I have delivered maths tuition, using both the Singapore methods and formal methods of teaching to both KS1 and KS2 children. I have taught year 3, year 5 and year 6 I am currently teaching year 4. I therefore understand the different theories and the trajectory of learning in KS1 and KS2 as well as having the knowledge of SATs expectations. I pride myself on the relationships that I build with my pupils and believe that I am a friendly, patient and approachable tutor.
Availability: I am available Tuesday evenings or Sunday mornings.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: -5 years of teaching primary level
-Experience of delivering high quality maths and English tuition
-Delivery of SATs tuition to year 5 and 6 pupils
-Delivery of 11+ tuition for maths and English
-I have previously taught year 3, 4, 5 and 6 so have an excellent knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
-I am currently teaching year 5 in Primary school

Kelly is very patient with my son. My son who is normally very shy has taken to Kelly fun and warm approach to teaching. Kelly always updates me as to how D has performed after each lesson. Kelly is very flexible with her teaching and will ask both myself and D as to what he wants to learn as well new stuff that we hadn’t even thought about! I am very happy and glad I found Kelly through Tutor Hunt, and how do I know it’s been worth it, because we got an amazing school report today. Off course D has also put a lot of hard work himself but I can see that his confidence has grown.

Kelly is brilliant. Im full of compliments her for her. Her teaching method with my son and her flexibility with timings of sessions has been excellent. She is a young, enthusiastic, primary school teacher which is exactly what I was looking for. She has really helped my son prepare for sats and has given him the confidence he needed. The fact he’s enjoyed the sessions says a lot. She’s perfect and I would recommend her to any parent. I’m so pleased I found her.
