Hello, and welcome!
I`m Nicola, and I believe that every student can make progress in Maths with the right support, encouragement and approach. My aim is to help students not only improve their grades, but also develop the confidence to tackle Maths independently.
Every lesson is tailored to the individual student, whether they need support with a particular topic, ongoing tuition throughout the school year, or focused preparation for GCSE examinations. I take the time to understand each student`s strengths and areas for development, adapting my teaching style to help them learn in the way that works best for them.
I pride myself on creating a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Building confidence is at the heart of my teaching, and I believe that confidence and success in Maths go hand in hand.
One of the most rewarding aspects of tutoring is the relationships I build with families. Many parents have returned to me to tutor younger siblings after seeing the progress and confidence their older child achieved. For me, this is one of the greatest compliments I can receive.
Following each lesson, I can provide a PDF copy of the lesson notes together with additional practice questions, helping students consolidate their learning between sessions and continue making progress independently.

Availability: I currently teach in a secondary school three days a week and offer flexible online tutoring around my teaching commitments. I have availability for after-school and evening lessons, as well as a limited number of daytime sessions, making tutoring suitable for home-educated students or those with more flexible schedules.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: Over the past 15 years, I have had the privilege of teaching and tutoring hundreds of students in Secondary Mathematics. One of the greatest compliments I receive is when families return to me to tutor younger siblings after seeing the progress and confidence their older child has gained.
