I have recently moved areas. Flute specialist.
Royal College of Music trained. I am happy to teach all ages and levels in flute and recorder. Clarinet and piano up to Grade 5. Music exams are an option. The emphasis at all times is to enjoy making music.
Availability: Daytime,evenings and weekend appointments available
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have over 40 years` experience teaching, working as flute specialist with the Bedfordshire Music Service and then as woodwind teacher in Cornwall. As well as teaching one to one, I have taught small groups, taken school orchestra rehearsals, coached chamber music,and wind band and orchestral sectional rehearsals.
I have played in various professional orchestras including the Milton Keynes Chamber Orchestra, Worthing Symphony Orchestra and the Northern Sinfonia. I have played in several small ensembles. I have attended master classes with James Galway, Karl-Heinz Zohler and Wissam Boustany, and have attended a course with Takahashi on Suzuki flute.

Pam has now been my tutor for 12 months. I was a bit of a false beginner and had not played the flute for many years, but Pam has helped me greatly with my tone and has taken me back through the basics and beyond. My confidence has improved no end as a result and I have made great progress. Lessons are fun and the time goes really quickly (always a good sign!). Pam is very encouraging and sets pieces to practise that have a good level of challenge and that keeps it interesting. I would therefore thoroughly recommend Pam to anyone who is either thinking of taking up the flute, or who would like to improve their level

Pamela has superb musical experience and has worked with very prestigious musicians. She is very personable and the lessons are great. I would definitely recommend her.
