I am a qualified Engineer with a 1st class Master`s degree in Mechanical Engineering, MEng from the University of Surrey, Guildford. I attended The Weald School and Sixth Form in Billingshurst studying Economics (AS Level, A), Physics (A2 Level, A), Maths (A2 Level, A*) and Design Technology (A2 Level, A). Having undertaken numerous paid and unpaid leadership/teaching roles throughout my academic career I am keen to continue this work going forward - to share my positive experiences of education with the graduates of tomorrow! I am currently living in Brighton and working locally at an Engineering consultancy.

Experience: During my sixth form studies, I was asked to participate in a tutoring programme funded by the college - this involved Mathematics tutoring for GCSE students at the school. This taught me the fundamentals of teaching; lesson structuring, approaches/delivery and styles of teaching and all the skills necessary to be an effective tutor.

I have undertaken a number of tutoring/mentoring roles throughout my time in Higher Education - most recently as a student ambassador focussed on providing an introduction to University life for prospective and new Undergraduates.

I have also undertaken numerous leadership/group roles throughout my academic career such as the DOE, the Junior Sports Leadership Award (JSLA) and various leadership roles in a number of retail and commercial organisations.
