I am an ethusiastic teacher and a general Chemistry geek. I love the challenge of making difficult Chemical concepts accessible to students of all ability levels. My specialism is organic chemistry although I enjoy teaching all aspects of Chemistry from GCSE to A-Level. Under the current COVID climate, I am able to offer remote lessons.

Availability: Available immediately, week nights and possibly weekends.

Experience: I have an MChem degree in medicinal Chemistry from Newcastle university and a PGCE from Durham University. Having taught for the past 19 years, I am an experienced Chemistry teacher with excellent subject knowledge and extensive exam board experience. I have taught both AQA and OCR A-level Chemistry as well as iGCSE, trilogy and GCSE Chemistry. I have taught all ability levels and have prepared students for Oxbridge applications. Having been a head of chemistry for 7 years, I currently teach full-time in a local independent school. I pride myself on making Chemistry interesting and accessible to students of all abilities and aim to pass on my enthusiasm for the subject.
