I am currently studying at Durham University to achieve my Masters qualification in Finance and Accountancy. I am a patient and caring tutor, who has the ability to relate with students since I have faced difficulties with Maths in the past. The knowledge that I have gained in Mathematics and Statistics at several different academic levels, has equipped me with a wide range of skills.

The concepts that I have learned have allowed me to become an expertise in discovering what method and approach should be used to a particular question. This method can be combined and adjusted appropriately to suite a student’s learning procedure, enabling us to achieve the best possible results.

My academic results in Maths have always been very good but my main motivation is to share the skills I have gained over the past, in order to help students improve not only their Mathematical ability but also to equip them with everyday life skills. Success in Mathematics is based around finding an enjoyment in the subject and having the confidence to express your ideas and thoughts.

I would be happy to tutor individuals at KS3, GCSE or A-Level Mathematics.

Availability: Available Monday-Friday evenings and Sunday

Experience: In the past I have spent a few weeks at my Secondary school, Lord Lawson of Beamish School, helping the Mathematics department. My main role was to act as an assistant teacher to help students with any problems they were having with the current topics. This consisted of helping students from Year 7 to 6th form, which gave me an insight to different levels of literature and dealing with different age groups. From this experience I gained valuable interpersonal communication techniques and learned how to adjust to differing student requirements and personalities.

I also have experience in doing one to one tuition in Mathematics at GCSE and A-Level.
