With a BSc in Applied Mathematics and full teaching qualification, I have started my career teaching Mathematics to A-level, until I discovered programming whilst studying Computer Science Applied in Economics. The thrill of writing code that made an electronic machine do something I wanted drove me to work in the industry for a while, coding applications for two large corporations. After acquiring strong practical programming experience I decided to return to the classroom and help other students be inspired to find the closest thing there is to a superpower - and that is coding.

Experience: I am a successful teacher of Computer Science at all age range 11-18. Since 2007 I have been specialising in teaching the A-level Computer Science / Computing syllabus, AQA exam board, as well as the GCSE syllabus, CIE exam board. I am also an experienced examiner, having been marking A-level Computer Science scri pts for AQA since 2013. At KS3 I have been teaching programming skills (Python, Small Basic), computational thinking, binary numbers comprehension, but I have also inspired pupils to continue with the subject at the next level through competitions and exciting challenges. My students` exam results are on average 1.5-2 grades above their estimated grade at the start of their course (GCSE or A-level).
