I am a warm and engaging humanities tutor with seven years experience teaching history at the University of Cambridge and University College London. I have a BA (starred first), MPhil (Distinction) and PhD from the University of Cambridge.

When I’m not tutoring, I’m writing a book about Scottish history for Cambridge University Press. When I’m not writing, I`m watching football, swimming, or going out dancing.

Availability: Available to tutor Wednesdays-Fridays.

Unavailable in the first half of June, but otherwise available over the summer.

- Supported students in one-to-one ‘office hours’ with a wide range of
academic and pastoral issues.

University College London | 2023-26
- Three years’ experience designing, leading, and examining
undergraduate seminars in British and imperial history (c.150 hours)
- Supervisor for undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations.
- Pastoral tutor for my students, supporting them throughout their
degrees in one-to-one `office hours`.
