My Name is Nick and I’m an experienced Head of Maths in a West London private school with an attached Sixth Form. Furthermore, I work with Pearson Edexcel as an Assessment Associate Examiner marking official GCSE papers.

I did my Bachelors at the London School of Economics (LSE), a PGCE from the Institute of Education (UCL) and a MA in Educational Leadership (UCL). Also, I have worked with the the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM) completing courses in Problem-Solving flexibility and Mathematical Thinking. I am currently offering mathematics tuition on a 1 to 1 basis for KS3 to KS5 students.

I teach a broad range of classes in KS3 through to KS5. Through my time in the classroom, I have developed a wealth of resources as well as an engaging approach to teaching mathematics to all levels using mastery techniques. I utilize traditional methods such as textbook and worksheet tasks as well as unorthodox exercises such as top trumps, board games and codebreakers.

Currently, I am only available to do online sessions.

Availability: I am available on most weekdays after 4pm and weekends.

I am currently training to become a Secondary Mastery Specialist Teacher.
I am a fully qualified Mathematics Teacher with a PGCE, PGD and a DBS certificate.
I have experience preparing KS4 and KS5 students for external examinations.
I have experience working with Adults preparing for numerical tests.
I have experience preparing students for the 11+ and 13+ examinations.
I currently mark official GCSE Papers as an Examiner with Pearson Edexcel.
I`ve held a leadership position in a West London School as the Deputy Head of Maths.
