BSc(Hons) in Maths with Statistics and MSc in Applied Statistics. I have been tutoring for 4 years after taking early retirement following 30+ years as a professional at AstraZeneca.

Mathematics tutor specialising in KS3 and GCSE but will also cover KS2 and 11+/entrance exams.

2019 GCSE Results: my Foundation student was 4 marks off a Grade 5; my Higher paper student achieved her target Grade 5
2019 A Level results: my student achieved a Grade B in Maths

2018 GCSE Results: both of my Foundation students easily achieved Grade 5. Both my Higher students got their target Grade 6.

2017 GCSE Results: I had one student sit the Higher paper and he achieved a Grade 8 (equivalent to A*). Another student sat the Foundation paper and achieved a Grade 5 (the highest grade on Foundation). My Year 10 foundation level student has moved up to Higher level for Year 11.


I can offer a free 20 minute initial session on request to meet the tutee, discuss goals and ensure that both tutor / tutee are happy with each other.

I have 2 children of my own, one who sat her GCSE`s in 2017 and the other who sat them in 2018 so I have a good understanding of the challenges teenagers face with their GCSE`s.

Please note that I operate a 24 hour cancellation policy i.e. any sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will incur 50% of the session fee.
