Hi, welcome to my profile! I truly love what I do having worked in the teaching profession over the past 23 years. I believe building a supportive, encouraging relationship between the child and teacher is so important to empower and engage them in their learning.

Getting to know your child`s interests, strengths and areas to develop from the first meeting will ensure subsequent sessions will meet their specific learning needs. I firmly believe that the foundation of success within the classroom and within teaching are strong relationships. Children will thrive and learn when they are in an environment in which they feel cared for and comfortable. I will work with your child to build their confidence and support them in developing a sense of self-belief and independence.

Having experience with KS1 & 2 across the primary curriculum allows me the insight, knowledge and resources to to identify any gaps in their learning so that they can be challenged accordingly. SATS are particularly stressful for children but allowing them the opportunities to have a sense of achievement with their learning helps them to engage and make accelerated progress.

Having worked for 23 years, 17 years of which in senior leadership within the primary school setting, my experience spans across the primary age range and curriculum subjects and can support within each subject. I have a particular interest in children with additional needs having been a SENDCO for a number of years. Regardless of need, all children need praise and confidence to succeed - this forms the basis of my sessions. I will provide a clear, step by step program to ensure progress in a supportive, nurturing way.
