Sophie

I am a French native living in Lewes. I have been a private French tutor since 2012, teaching GCSE, IGCSE, A level and Common Entrance exams. I also teach adults from beginner to intermediate level, using a range of resources.

My role as a tutor is to encourage and enable students to achieve their unique potential as independent learners through acknowledgement, encouragement, understanding, and personalised attention, whether in a one-to-one or group tutoring environment.

I teach French in an independent school in Brighton and Hove and also work as a public service interpreter. I am an Associate member of the Chartered Insitute of Linguists (CIOL).

Tutoring takes place online or at my place but can travel to your office or house at an additional cost.

Availability: I am available Monday to Friday and some Saturdays.

Experience: After finishing my degree, I taught French in secondary schools and sixth form college in Brighton and Burgess Hill. I am currently working in a private school in Brighton and Hove.
I support a range of motivations: passing GCSEs, A Levels, for business and adults learners.
I am currently tutoring French to secondary school and sixth form students, My students received grade 8 or 9 for GCSEs.

Many of my students are also adults, I usually work one to one, focusing on conversation skills and grammar, using tailor made resources based on your goals, level and interests.
