Hello, my name is Sharon and I am a hard working qualified Primary School Teacher with 12 years classroom teaching experience within KS1 and KS2. I would describe myself as a teacher who values the foundation subjects and uses these to enrich my teachings across all subjects.

I have successfully been part of teaching teams that have overseen considerable improvements to SATs results. I enjoy my work and aim to help children to reach their full academic potential and develop the confidence to tackle any difficulties they may face.

Availability: I am currently availability after school (subject to school hours), evenings and morning, lunchtime on Saturdays. Also during half terms and school holidays (subject to availability).

Willing to travel: 8 miles

Experience: I completed my BA (Hons) in Primary Education at Middlesex University. I have experience working with children from Year 1 to Year 6. I am currently teaching Year 3 and specialise in KS2 teaching.

My aim is to ensure that the children I tutor become more confident individuals who feel that they are able to give anything a go. My focus is upon the new National Curriculum levels and objectives.

I will begin by completing an initial assessment of your child, to grasp an idea as to which areas of learning need further development on and what they are confident in. When tutoring older children (KS2), I feel that it is important for the child to take on more ownership of their learning.

So, I, therefore ask the child if there are any areas of learning they feel particularly confident in or may need further support or development in their school work.
