Information about Amy
I am a fully qualified Maths teacher in secondary education, with two years of experience teaching Maths.
Prior to this, I also taught English up to GCSE.
I have also taught acting both privately and publicly to ages 2- 16.
I have experience as a 1:1 mentor for teenagers with autism, both in an autistic-specific school and privately where I have worked with the students to self regulate, acknowledge self awareness, check in with emotional regularity and help accomplish tasks that might otherwise feel overwhelming, such as taking a bus for the first time, or meeting in a public space.
I am extremely patient, and love coming up with new creative ways to teach; I currently work with all abilities, so I understand the necessity in taking the time to foster unique strategies to help students on an individual basis; only then can we start seeing progress- and then success. I love teaching Maths and I am so passionate about making a difference. (It doesnt have to be boring- I promise!!)
I am fun, kind, patient and have a skill for tailoring tuition to fit the needs and requirements of individual students- and absolutely thrive on it!
I have a full enhanced DBS.
