I am 33 years old and live in Bletchley, Milton Keynes. I have completed a Single Honours degree in the subject of History, a PGCE in post - 16 education and a quality assurance qualification .

I am an approachable and easy going teacher and believe in the importance of catering for individual needs and these cannot always be met in a classroom. I believe it is important to know your students needs and knowing how to make learning fun, but also effective.

I am able to offer support in a range of areas from study skills, homework and specific subjects to aiding with preparing for exams.

Availability: Availability is flexible and can be discussed. Tutoring could be done in the hours after school. I am available from 4.30 Monday to Friday and at any time during the weekend.

Experience: I have worked in a variety of different educational settings in the last 9 years. I began my teaching in a college, teaching GCSE and A-Level Psychology, A-Level History and GCSE English Literature. I spent a year here whilst teacher training before spending 6 months in a secondary school teaching GCSE and A-Level History and Year 9 Geography.

I have been working as a Functional Skills Maths and English tutor for the last 7 years, teaching students with special educational needs and disabilities and other students with particularly difficult backgrounds and negative experiences in education.
