Experience: Hi, my name is Matthew and I teach maths at GCSE! Having taught multiple students at GCSE, my tutoring aims to give solid, step-by-step instructions on how to answer every type of question you could be faced with at GCSE.

I love maths and I believe it is an invaluable subject that can lead to many job opportunities. I studied maths and further maths at A-Level where I scored an A* in both. I have just completed my 2nd year at the University of Exeter studying electronic engineering, where I have achieved a 1st in both years. I have taught multiple students at GCSE and have been coaching tennis for 5 years, so I have a lot of experience teaching to younger people.

My tutoring lessons are typically 1 hour long, and it is centred around practice questions, as I believe this is the best way to improve in maths and prepare for an exam.

I know how difficult it is at maths GCSE when there are many different types of questions thrown at you and it’s tricky to know how to solve them. So I aim to teach a topic and show step-by-step how to solve a particular question, then help a student to solidify the content taught through repetition of practice questions, as this has been the best way a student can improve through my experience.
