I love making a difference through igniting young people`s interest and spark for education.When a young person realises they have what they need to succeed inherent inside them, their world shifts. I love seeing that.

My lessons whether one to one or in small groups, are creative and engaging. When teaching I like to keep a calm and relaxed working atmosphere, working as a team with a student, rather than an `expert` in a hierarchical sense who has come to bestow knowledge on them! Learning is a two way process.

Availability: Available 10am-7pm Mon- Thurs for tutoring slots of 1 hour or 2 hours.

Can also work on occasional weekends if needed.

Experience: I have over ten years experience of teaching and tutoring.

I have worked both in Government and private sectors. The majority of my experience comes from tutoring and mentoring young people who have been taken out of mainstream education due to their behavioural and emotional needs, and/or SEN.

I have taught young people on the verge of permanent exclusion, and they have later been able to return to school full time, if the mainstream environment is right for them. It is of course not the most nourishing place for every young person.

I have tutored young people who have been permanently excluded from their PRU or school. These students have often been successful through one to one tutoring and achieved qualifications, which enabled them to take the next right step for that individual.

I have also tutored young people who are home schooled or having extra tuition outside of school hours.
