Information about Phil
Doctoral and Masters graduate of Oxford University in Physics and Mathematics. I worked as professional scientist for many years at CERN (the European Particle Physics Lab) in Geneva, and then in the Telecomms industry. I enjoy the challenge of communicating exciting physics and maths concepts to students and encouraging them with good exam. and learning techniques.
Everyone has their own way of understanding and becoming familiar with the types of ideas and concepts encountered in physics and mathematics. I like to work with the student`s preferences to explain and illustrate the concepts and principles that underlie exam. questions and show you how to communicate your knowledge to an examiner. Above all, tutoring sessions should be enjoyable and lead step by step to ultimate exam. success.
Availability: Generally available from 10:00am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
