I am a confident tutor of English at Key Stages 3 and 4 with particular expertise in the delivery of GCSE English Language and Literature.

Lessons will be tailored to the student`s needs and will be based upon current teaching methods plus some that are more traditional and long-proven.

Assistance can also be given to any Humanities or Social Studies work as I have a BA Hons degree (2:1) in History & English and possess a `Master of Philosophy` degree in Industrial Relations.

These qualifications sit alongside my PGCE teaching award which led to me teaching in schools in Dudley, Worcestershire, Walsall and Sandwell for the last 25 years.

More recently, I enjoyed a very successful time at Haybridge School in Hagley, Kingswinford School, Dudley and Windsor High School, Halesowen while finally, working for Sandwell Council, where I was involved in the teaching of Functional Skills English to Adult learners.

I will be available to tutor students in their homes (or gardens) as soon as the current `lockdown` arrangements allow, whether this be in the evening as previously or during the day as required.

Availability: Evenings and weekends plus, from May 2020, all week days.

Willing to travel: 20 miles

Experience: Twenty five years of English teaching experience in local Secondary schools plus the teaching of other subjects such as Drama, History and Sociology and Functional Skills
