My aim is to provide a compassionate and creative tutoring experience for children aged 5-11. With a focus on developing knowledge and understanding in Maths and English.

With class sizes growing at a rapid rate, and the expectation level rising; Your child maybe finding this a challenge as there is less time and support, to bridge the gaps to learning.

SATs testing in KS1 and KS2 can be a daunting time for your child. I can offer SATs booster classes that will see your child grow in confidence and develop the skills necessary to tackle these tests head on.

The first session with me will consist of an assessment to determine the gaps in learning. This assessment will inform my planning and enable me to teach in an exciting and engaging way, by incorporate a range of resources, games and ICT to solidify this knowledge and develop further understanding.

I will also incorporate enrichment sessions within the lesson to develop their confidence and their self esteem.


Other information:

I offer a free consultation session where I can meet the child and discuss their needs with their parents.

Verbal feedback will be given at the end of each session

Homework will occasionally be given to complete at home with the support of the parent/s and it will be discussed during sessions.

I am happy to liaise with the school or class teacher to inform them of progress and curriculum coverage that we have completed in our sessions.

Availability: I work in hourly slots

Mon - Friday - 17:00-19:00

Sat - 10:00 - 12:00 and 13:00 - 14:00

Half term sessions available on request.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I am a qualified Primary School Teacher with QTS and have experience teaching throughout the primary sector in a range of different school settings.

I have experience working with many children with Specific Learning Difficulties (SPLD) and children with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND).

I also have both KS1 and KS2 SATs experience where I have supported children with their SATs by running intervention and additional learning groups.

I currently hold an enhanced DBS check..
