Experience: I hold an MA Honours in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and a Ph.D. in Linguistics. I have 20-years’ experience of English teaching, Academic English in particular, to international students from Beginners to Advanced level. I have worked with students of different levels of academic ability, coming from a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. I have taught both in the UK and abroad. In the UK I taught at Lancaster University, University of Hull, University of Huddersfield, University of Leeds and University of Sheffield as well as Kirklees College in Huddersfield. Abroad, I taught in Russia and Thailand. During my teaching career I have developed and adapted a variety of teaching materials for face-to-face and online teaching.
