My students have consistently shown quick progress by at least three levels.

As a tutor, I believe it’s very important that I assess each student to find out where and why they’re having difficulties. Some students need help with basics and fundamentals and would like to go every topic with ample practice. Some want a fresh start on their weak areas and work upwards.

For me, Maths is all about solving real world exam questions. I help them to solve the questions whilst explaining and analysing the variations/pitfalls expected in real GCSE exam.

I have had students who started with grade 3/4 with very little confidence in them and would like just to pass somehow and bid goodbye to maths after GCSE. And there are students who want to achieve grade 6/7/8 so that they can pursue Maths at A-levels and beyond. My tutoring approach is completely different for each case depending on the student’s ability and time left for the final exams. So far it has worked well with each one of them and they have attained what they wanted.
