Information about Francesca
The most important thing to learn as an Art Historian is the importance of looking. I like my students to focus on imagery above anything else, giving them immediate confidence in their own ability at analysing and understanding artworks. My classes tend to be more discussion-based and informal, however I am confident in my abilities to tutor students for specific exams as well as in proofreading essays.
Availability: Flexible.
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: A successful track record as a tour guide (notably at the Royal Albert Hall, Peggy Guggenheim Museum and with the National Trust) are evidence of my ease with verbal communication, and a tested ability in relaying often complex information in a straightforward yet creative manner. These positions have also given me experience in engaging and communicating with global audiences. My most recent position saw me teaching a self-written Art History syllabus on the Oxford Tradition, a summer school run by the Oxbridge Academic Program.
