I qualified as a primary school teacher with a BA degree in Primary Education and Qualified Teacher Status 15 years ago. My pupils have described me as engaging, fun, patient, warm and attentive. I seek to make every child`s learning experience enjoyable, relevant and exactly what they need to progress. I feel that the best learning happens when children feel comfortable and secure so I ensure that alongside the tutoring I build a relationship with each child I am fortunate enough to work with. I have run nurture groups for children who need emotional well being support so am I am a mum to two young children and this has afforded me the opportunity to look at how to bring learning into a home environment. I am able to tutor 4-11 year olds across the range of primary subjects including literacy, maths, phonics and science.

Experience: I have taught across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in a range of different schools. I have held numerous leadership positions including phase leader, various subject leader positions and have been lead teacher. In my previous school I was a Designated Safeguarding Lead and I am a qualified Forest School Leader. I was also a Specialist Leader of Education for 2 years which saw me supporting other schools across my local authority.
