¡Hola! I have taught Spanish for 20 years in a range of schools in Kent and East Sussex. I have also been Head of Spanish, Head of Modern Foreign Languages and Lead Practitioner for Modern Foreign Languages during my career. In these roles I had responsibility for students` progress across the subject, not just in my own classes. In addition I have experience in teaching specifications for GCSE and A Level Spanish for Eduqas and AQA exam boards and I recently acquired experience as an examiner at GCSE. This offered a great deal of insight into what students need to do to secure the highest marks. My favourite thing to teach is film at A Level. I have taught María llena eres de gracia and El laberinto del fauno for many years and know them both very well.
My experience and excellent subject knowledge mean that I know how to get the best from my students. In addition to teaching in schools, I have also tutored students privately in person and online. Tutor sessions are very much based on the individual student`s needs and whilst nothing beats hard work, I try to make tutor sessions engaging and enjoyable, with a more relaxed feel than a lesson in school.
