Highly successful English tutor with 20+ years of experience. I’ve helped dozens of students, of varying backgrounds and abilities, surpass their expectations (and dare I say it, come to actually enjoy English because of the way I try to frame the subject).
I know exactly what examiners want and I know what students need. My carefully prepared resources and teaching methods ensure I meet the requirements of both. So if you`re missing that extra something to help you creep into the top bands, I can help. But I`m also here for students that struggle with the subject and need direction so that they can pass.
I am patient and like to think I develop a good rapport with my students so that the lessons are seen as less of a chore and more of a motivator.

Experience: I began helping out at a Saturday workshop at a local grammar school back in 2002, and my passion for tutoring grew from there.
My one-on-one tutoring has thrived through various online platforms but just as much through word-of-mouth as parents that are impressed with my approach - and the results it delivers - often recommend me to other parents or contact me again to help with a student’s siblings.

I`ve noticed my son has made amazing progress in English and has started to fall back in love with the subject. He told me that Sid makes a lot of resources for him which really help him. So far so good!

We joined on 12 October 2025, when my daughter began her tuition less than a month before her exam. The effort Sid put in was truly outstanding. He was always patient, encouraging, and thorough, making complex topics much easier to understand. Sid worked extremely hard and covered a remarkable amount of content in a very short period of time. In less than a month, my daughter improved from a grade 3 to a grade 5, which was truly a dream come true for us. He went beyond just teaching by providing additional resources, which proved to be extremely useful. My daughter studied English Language with Sid and thoroughly enjoyed every session. We are incredibly pleased with our decision to enrol her, and my daughter has been equally satisfied with the experience. We cannot thank Sid enough for his dedication and excellent teaching skills. He is an absolute star, and I would highly recommend him to others. I sincerely hope other students benefit from his teaching as much as my daughter has.

He has taken time to explain things to my daughter in a way she understands and gives her tasks to do. He is not time precious at all and goes over time which is very much appreciated. Communication is perfect.
