I have always had a passion for exercise and sport. As a student, I studied Physical Education at both GCSE and A Level, however went on to undertake a Criminology Honours degree and Durham University. As an athlete, I have played within the England U19 and U23 women lacrosse teams, captaining at Home International tournaments. I am currently working as a teacher of Physical Education at a school in Kent, and have experience teaching both GCSE and A Level.

Experience: I have been a qualified sports coach since 2018, coaching lacrosse to young athletes at county and regional levels. This has helped me gain experience of working with children and has taught me the value of extrinsic feedback to aid learning. After graduating from Durham University, I became a graduate assistant at a well-known independent school in Kent, where I taught Year 7-Year 13 a variety of sports and skills, also helping with the practical side of the GCSE and A Level Physical Education courses. I am currently undertaking my Teacher Training at the same school in Kent, specialising in Physical Education, teaching GCSE content to both Year 10 and 11, introducing and advising on the GCSE coursework and helping with the practical elements. Alongside this teaching, I have also continued my work as a coach, developing my understanding of various sports which benefits my wider teaching. My teaching style consists of using the mark scheme to learn, to develop the language needed to fit what the examiners are looking for. I have a fun and interactive approach, which I have found to foster an enjoyable working environment, ultimately aiding in the learning of content.
