Information about Mina

I am a 22-year-old native French student and have been a French assistant for the past year in a prestigious secondary school. I have given lessons to any level and age, I can easily adapt so anyone could have lessons with me.

While teaching French, I am still a student myself. I recently passed my Master`s Degree in English studies and I still have a year to finish my degree in Russian studies. In the past, I have also studied German (7 years, until Baccalauréat/A-Level) as well as Chinese (6 years, 3 years in high school and 3 years at university). The fact that I am studying and have studied so many languages helps me a lot to teach as I know the difficulties in learning a foreign language and what is primordial to know.

I am working in a private secondary school since September 2017 in London and have given extra French lessons to adults. During the summer, I also gave English lessons to students from all age and levels (between 12 and 29 years old).

Availability: As I am working, I am not available every day. However, I am often free after school, Friday all day and most of the weekend. I am flexible and will do my best to find a time that will be convenient for you.

Willing to travel: 8 miles

Experience: I started being a French assistant in September last year and will be doing it for this year as well. At school, I mostly focus on speaking and oral understanding as well as pronunciation for students between year 10 and year 13. The students learn how to be more confident in speaking a foreign language as well as being autonomous, both in French and in how to learn it with the right methods and tools. Last year, most of my students passed their French GCSE and A-Level with a A or B grade with a majority having between 35 and 40 out of 40 in speaking.

I also held one-to-one lessons (French and English) for people of all age and levels (between 12 and 29 years old) which allow the youngest ones to start the new year with more confidence and a better understanding of a foreign language or, for the others to pass their TOEIC in English or move to France.
