Hiya, my name is Hoda and I am a PhD candidate in Machine Learning at the University of Oxford`s Department of Computer Science. I have just completed an MPhil degree in Data Science at the University of Cambridge. For my undergraduate studies, I graduated with an MEng first-class degree in Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College London. Following this, I worked as a software developer in leading consultancy firms for 3 years.

Experience: I have a range of experiences studying and working at leading institutions in both academia and industry. Given my background in engineering and data science, I have tutored students in mathematics, computing and machine learning. I have also supported students with their personal statements as well as provided advice/mentoring in regards to career paths and improving their applications.

Following my undergraduate studies, I was offered graduate roles at leading consultancy firms. I worked at one of the top 4 consultancy firms, where I was promoted from analyst to consultant within 2 years. I have experience mentoring individuals seeking career advice, and supporting them in successfully securing a role in consulting, in particular the various application stages (e.g. online tests, interviews).
