I am passionate about English language and literature and an avid reader. I have a degree in English from Royal Holloway, University of London. I enjoy teaching both primary and secondary pupils to help them develop a love for the English as well as pass their exams successfully.

Availability: Thursday and Friday all day and evenings, Saturday 9-2pm and Sunday afternoons

Experience: I am a qualified English teacher for adults (CELTA) and have 6 years adult teaching experience at a local community college and a private language school. For the past 6 years I have worked as a Specialist English Tutor in a London Primary School with 99% EAL pupils. I teach pupils from Years 5 & 6 preparing them for SATS exams,therefore familiar with the new national curriculum for primary schools. The primary school is in the top 100 schools in the country for their SATS results.
I have worked as a private tutor for the last 3 years and taught adults to improve their language skills and have prepared pupils for their 11 +, GCSE English Language and Literature, A-Level English Literature and IGCSE exams. As a parent of a teenager, I understand the pressures secondary pupils face and I am able to adapt to their learning styles and make the lessons interesting and accessible while maintaining high expectations.
