I am an enthusiastic, creative and passionate teacher of English on a quest to make this core subject more accessible to young people.

As I am currently working full-time at a local high-school, I can fully appreciate the pressure young people are under to be successful in their GCSEs and at Key Stage 3. I would be delighted to support students that need an extra boost whether that be to their literacy skills, exam technique or their confidence.

I have worked with students of all abilities from year 7 -11 and can adapt my tutoring sessions to fit the needs of the individual.

Additionally, I have experience teaching Film Studies and Media Studies and I`d be happy to support students in this area too.

I`m patient, I have a good sense of humour and I have high standards. Ultimately, I enjoy helping people reach their potential.

Experience: I`m an enthusiastic, fully qualified English teacher with several years of teaching experience. In my career to date, I have taught in schools in Suffolk and I am currently working full time at a high school in Essex. My classroom observations are consistently outstanding when judged against Ofsted criteria. Additionally, I have a growing knowledge of the new 9-1 English GCSE qualifications as well as experience teaching Film and Media Studies. I have tutored students of all abilities from year 7-11 as part of my job. I have some experience working with students in the upper years of primary school too.
