Whether at the pub or a family meal, I always find myself explaining physics through analogy and thought experiment. There is nothing in Physics which cannot be understood through simple models, and the provision of a model or mode of thinking which fits each individual student is the key role of a tutor. Once the physical concept has been grasped, developing the maths to describe the phenomena formally, becomes intuitive, and the rest is practice and familiarity.

I favor a problem based approach, as this allows the student to naturally identify areas that need attention and encourages critical thinking. However, all students learn differently and I can tailor tuition to suit your needs.

I have a BSc in Physics from the Open University. This has enabled me to work extensively with a wide range of students from around the world, sharing knowledge and conducting collaborative experiments.
