A highly motivated and resourceful teacher and leader, with a proven ability to enhance student and staff achievement, I have a wealth of experience of KS3 – KS5 and Post-16, as well as performing as an examiner, educational consultant and Lead English Expert for AQA. I previously led a team which was nominated as Best GCSE Team at the TES Awards and have given keynote speeches at (and organised) conferences offering CPD to Post-16 English and maths practitioners.

Experience: I have worked as a highly success Head of Department in English for 3 years, having previously been an Outstanding English teacher. Nominated for a TES Award for the results of the team I managed in 2019, I am also Lead English Expert for the largest examining body in the UK and work as an examiner (as I have done since 2013).

I have a wealth of experience of KS3 - KS5 and Post-16, and have also reviewed or created resources for the majority of exam boards in the UK. I have also carried out teacher training for national awarding bodies and my students regularly exceed their targets.
