I charge £35 for a one-hour slot, or £50 for a 2-hour slot. I offer maths tuition at A/AS Level, Higher/Advanced Higher, degree level and adult learning courses. I would be happy to provide this either online, in my house or elsewhere within a reasonable distance.

I have a first class maths degree and a maths PhD (both from St Andrews), as well as A star grades in GCSE maths and additional maths and A grades in A level maths and further maths (school in Belfast).

I also have a lot of experience in tutoring mathematics, I get on well with students and I help you to get the best results possible.

I also tutor online, via Skype, and have been helping tutees to plan ahead for lessons which might otherwise be missed if schools close during the current health crisis.

Availability: I am generally available, particularly in the evenings.

Experience: At university I tutored small groups for several degree-level maths modules. I focused on question practice supporting the taught material, with further discussion and explanation of the theory. I also coached students on a one-to-one basis.

Since university I have continued to tutor maths, finding tutees through TutorHunt and similar websites. I have a flexible approach to tutoring and am keen to be guided by the tutee`s targets and learning style.

In general, the main focus is to understand the course syllabus and go through the available practice questions, especially from past papers. This ensures that you have a solid base of knowledge and that you are able to quickly and accurately apply the course material exams.
